Lori Sprows, founder of Laborde, graduated from Villanova University. She launched Fleur De Lis Interior Design in 2001 while studying at the the New York School for Interior Design. Her work caught the eye of Better Homes and Gardens who featured her work on the front cover of the magazine in 2004. She has designed residential and commercial spaces in NYC, Fairfield County CT and Jackson Hole, WY since 2001. It was during her design years that she fell in love with unique materials and launched Laborde.
Lori draws much of her inspiration from her many years of living abroad in Paris, Hong Kong and London as well as her love of wildlife, nature and the outdoors.
Lori splits her time between Jackson Hole, Wyoming and NYC with her husband David.
Laborde's collection is made of ethically sourced hair-on-hide that has been laser etched to create an “all over pattern”. The collection is dyed in beautiful bright colors, Lori's signature. Laborde's material comes from Bologna Italy, the epicenter of designer textiles.
Her collection debuted in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2013 with the first handbag being sold at Belle Cose at The Four Seasons, Jackson Hole.
